When you’re expecting a package through FedEx or UPS, it’s standard to receive email or text updates on the delivery status. Did you know that the US Post Office offers a tool that not only lets you know which mail and packages to expect each day but also alerts you when they have been delivered?
What is Informed Delivery?
Here is a description of the service from the USPS Informed Delivery page:
Start your mornings with a preview of your day’s USPS® mail and packages with Informed Delivery® notifications:
- Get Daily Digest emails that preview your mail and packages scheduled to arrive soon.
- See images of your incoming letter-sized mail (grayscale, address side only).
- Track and manage your packages in one convenient place.
In addition to the daily digest email and delivery confirmation, you can log into your USPS Informed Delivery dashboard to see the status of your mail and packages at any time.
