ComicsPlus, powered by LibraryPass, is a digital platform that offers thousands of comics, graphic novels, and manga for kids, teens, and adults. All library patrons in Albany and Rensselaer Counties now have access to Comics Plus.
You can access titles using a smartphone, tablet, or web browser, and they can be downloaded to multiple devices. There is never a wait to read – all titles offer unlimited simultaneous access.
Overview
To get started, you need an internet connection and a device that can access the internet. You can view the whole collection, teen content, or children’s content.
- Use the Comics Plus link on our website (full collection | teen content | children’s content) or download and install the LibraryPass app for iOS or Android.
- Search for and select William K Sanford or Colonie, and select a collection (if prompted)
- Enter your card number
- Browse the collection or search for a specific title
- Hover or tap on the cover of the title you want to read, and click/tap Read Now or Add to My Shelf.
- Read all the comics!
Details
The homepage shows featured items. Use the menu tab in the green toolbar at the top to browse popular titles, recently added items, interests, or publishers:
If you already know what you’re looking for, use the search bar located in the upper right corner:
When you find a title to read, hover over the cover and click the plus button to add the title to your shelf. Click “more details” to find additional information, or the play button to start reading.
Click the left or right side of the screen to turn pages. Click anywhere to view additional options at the top and bottom of the screen. Click the X to close the title and return to the homepage.
To see all of the titles on your shelf, click “My Shelf” to the right of the search field at the top.
