The Easy Way to Create Clean Lines in Forms

Not long ago, I was asked to update our library card application form. The software I chose to create the form didn’t seem to have a good way to add a line for a person to fill in the answer to a question. I tried drawing lines using the draw function, but they were tough to make uniform even though I was copying and pasting. Repeatedly tapping the underscore button worked okay, but it was hard to match up from line to line. Thankfully, Tech-Talk sent out an article with a method I had never considered – using the underline function with the tab key!

Their article mentioned both methods I had tried and offered the same conclusions about them being unsatisfactory. They demonstrated, step by step, how to use the tab key and the underline function together to create a clean line in a form with minimal effort. This feature is available in both Microsoft Word and Google Docs.
