Here at the library, we often help users who either don’t own a printer or had a printer meltdown. While we do have public computers that can print, there are a variety of situations when printing from our computers isn’t an option. For example,
- Printing requires email access, and the password is unknown. But, the phone and home device have the password saved.
- All of our computers are in use.
- Printing is urgent and starting a computer session would waste time.
For those situations, the library uses a service called Princh.

How to Use Princh
Princh can print a variety of file types. There are three ways to use Princh: email a print job, upload a print job, or install the Princh app on your mobile device. All require internet access. Each method has its advantages and disadvantages. But first, a very important note about printing PDF Files.
Painful PDFs
The PDF format was created to make sharing documents simple across device types. Unfortunately, necessary security measures have put a major stumbling block in front of remote printing. If you open your PDF and see a prompt to “enable all features,” you MUST do that before sending it to print or Princh won’t be able to receive the document – no matter which printing method you choose.
Method 1: Emailing Your Item
If your device is set up to email, this is a quick, easy way to send your item to print. It is important to note that emailing does not allow the user to select options, like printing a subset of pages or a specific tab in a spreadsheet. But if you need a whole item printed without adjusting settings, send your document to:
- Black and white printer (20¢ per page): wkstl-bw@ewprints.com
- Color printer (50¢ per page): wkstl-color@ewprints.com
When you receive a confirmation email from no-replay@ewprints.com, your job is ready to print. Go to the print release station to pay for and print your job and click “release my print jobs,” Enter the email that sent the item. If you sent one item, you will see two possible print jobs listed. One is the body of the email sent (useful if the objective is to print an email), and the other is the attachment. Click on any you want to print, and select print in the upper-left of the screen. Follow the prompts to pay.
Method 2: Uploading Your Item
Sometimes you need to be able to select options when printing, like limiting to a subset of pages. In that case, head to our website and click “Printing” in the top menu, or head directly to the wireless printing landing page. . The link includes the printer ID, but if prompted for one, it is 107852.
First, click on the blue-outlined button to upload your saved file:

Your upload will show as a link that acts as a print preview when clicked. On this screen, you can also choose black and white or color, number of copies, and other options. You can also see the total price of the print job.

Clicking “Other” leads to the options to select the page range and the number of copies. Currently, we don’t have an option to print on special paper or to print on both sides of the page. We plan to implement double-sided printing in the future.

After selecting your options, click “Accept” to return to the previous screen, with the option to upload another file. After uploading all files and setting your options, click “Continue” at the bottom of the landing page.
The next screen will prompt for your email as a way for you to sign in and retrieve your prints at the print release station.
The progress/confirmation screen will let you know when your jobs are ready to print.

Method 3: Install the Princh App on Your Mobile Device

This method is best for folks who plan to use the library’s printer often. Installing the Princh app adds Princh as a print option to the apps on your phone.
Instead of uploading/emailing to the printer in a separate app, the user can select Print/Share within the app, and Princh will show as an option. Keep in mind that this option may ask you for the printer ID every time you use it. If so, enter 107852.
