How to Save a PowerPoint Slide as an Image

There are many great graphic design programs available, both free and paid. But what if you want to create an image without learning a new editing platform? Or, maybe you want to make a YouTube thumbnail image that is the perfect size for uploading? If you are a person who uses Microsoft PowerPoint or Google Slides, you are in luck!

The basic steps in PowerPoint are:

  • Create a slide in PowerPoint/G-Slides
  • Select it
  • Click File in the top menu, then Save as
  • Change the file type to jpg or png
  • Save
  • It will ask whether you want to convert all the slides – select “just this one”

The basic steps in Slides are:

  • Select File, then Download
  • Choose jpg or png
  • Tell it where to save
